This half day sport fishing tour takes place aboard a 40 foot, twin 275HP fishing boat and takes about 5 hours. Right off Puerto Plata, you will fish for Marlin, Dorado, Wahoo, Tuna and Mackerel and will have a good chance of seeing sea turtles, dolphins, huge rays as well as whales (during January and February).

Marlin are caught year round as well as many other pelagic game fish species. The Puerto Plata Fishing area boasts many billfish hook-ups a year! Striped Marlin are routinely caught right outside the marina but larger Blues and Sailfish are generally prowling the submerged banks around the coast on the east side of the island. A typical day's fishing involves casting baits to Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado and Tuna along the drop-offs.

Our boats are equipped with fighting chairs for the larger blues and other game fish plus the latest fish tackle for the chair or stand-up. All tackle is in the 30#-130# class and is in top working condition. We provide all Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, and Dorado lures you need. In addition, the boats are equipped with shade and facilities (restrooms).

Your crew consists of an experienced native fishing captain and mate to help with rigging, finding, and hooking the fish.
