How soon do you need it to lock up the reservation?
We recommend to do it a month in advance because you are choosing one specific boat and date. A few week advice works good, but walk in customers regurarly found no availbility.
Transportation? We have a 12 passenger A/C minivan waiting for your group for both of your transfers.
Time of departure / arrival? 7:30 AM / 12:30 PM
Regarding the gratuities (tips)?
For the Dominican captain and mate, a 15-25 dollar tip is good for both, but it’s better to give it in Dominican pesos (1US = 35RD), so it would be around 700 RD, which it’s about 1/5 of DR minimum wage.
I might get seasick?
Although the water conditions in Puerto Plata in regurarly calm It is possible to do drop fishing anytime and we highly recommend taking a Dramamine pill one hour before the excursion and a second one hour after departing. The pills can be found in any pharmacy we will provide transportation the day before the excursion upon request.

If individual the maximun fishermans per boat is 7.
If private charter you will haveall 7 fishing lines for yourself.
*As policy of the company, a 25% deposit is required for booking any activity with Aligatour and associated tour operators. We accept mayor credit cards via Paypal, we also accept wire transfers, Traveler's Checks and cash upon transfer pick up when applicable. Our Paypal email is info@aligatour.net, or please confirm if you want to receive a Paypal invoice. After the deposit is confirmed, we will notify email-you with an individual ticket for each excursion and a resume with important information of Dominican Republic.
